CHRISTINE'S PHOTOS

Back last autumn Christine Butler sent me a file of photos from their 2024 get together.  It was really a double celebration.  It marked 50 years since this loyal group of girls had graduated from St Patrick's Convent and also their 65th Birthdays.  There were many photos and Christine told me I could choose some to post.  Well, I didn't want to choose "some".  I wanted to post all.  In November I started to post them and, if you care to search back, you will be able to find those  posts with a selection of photos of the ladies and of our very much changed school.

In today's post I will try to post the remainder of those great pictures.  I hope you will enjoy it.

that be  Sr Brendan directing one of St Patrick's award winning choirs? 😇

Christine Butler has sent us news of their 41 year class reunion,  held on 9th June 2019.

One very talented classmate and friend, Janice Fagan, wrote a touching poem for the occasion.

Christine, thank you for sharing this wonderful celebration of enduring friendship.  Please keep us up to date with any news of yourself and your classmates and school friends.  

Keeping St Patrick's people in touch is magic so let's do our best to help the magic continue!  As Janice said:

5th ANNUAL GATHERING AND 50th ANNIVERSARY- UPDATED

Christine Butler has written with details of the upcoming 5th Annual Gathering which also happens to be the 50th Anniversary of the Grade 3 Class of 1967-68.  Here is Christine's email, including details of events and contact address and phone number.  It sounds like a great time awaits you all.  We wish you all a grand reunion!

Just letting you know that we will be having our 5th annual gathering, which will also be the 50th Anniversary of our grade 3 class of 1967-68. GATHERING 2015 - 1974 GRADUATES

Last year, Christine Butler (Rossiter) organised a reunion for the girls who graduated with her in 1974.  It was a huge success and the ladies suggested doing it again.  Christine has once again taken the lead and is planning a gathering for May 2015.  To help spread the word and alert everyone to this event, I am posting details here.  Please pass the message to any classmates or teachers you know and make this reunion an even greater success than last year!

The gathering is planned for SUNDAY, 31st MAY.   Please meet at 2 O'CLOCK at 35 NEWMAN ST, ST JOHN'S (COWAN HEIGHTS), where Donna Walsh (Constantine) will be delighted to welcome school friends to her home.  You will then have a few hours to do a lot of chatting and laughing before a POTLUCK SUPPER is served at around 5 O'CLOCK. 

 

It is sure to be a very enjoyable meeting of old friends so don't miss it!  However, Christine must know in advance how many will attend!
