TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO 12, DEFINITELY OLDIES!

Today I have some definitely oldies!  It is a long time since this uniform was worn. Again, it is a random selection of photos that have been submitted over the years.  If you  are in any of these photos you are, like me, not 21 anymore 😉. 

GRADE 2, 1967

This picture was given to us by my lovely niece, Susan McAllister.  The year is 1967 and it is a Grade 2 Class, St Patrick's Primary School.  The teacher was Miss J Sears.  It's too bad Miss Sears isn't in the photo with the class. Don't they all look so sweet?

****Thanks to Jeanette Power Woodman and Rhonda Coleman, we have two more  names to add.  Jeanette Power is the little cutie sitting third right in the middle row.  Rhonda informed us that Sylvia Broderick is fourth right in the back row.  Sadly, Sylvia passed away on 17 July 2018.  Thank you Jeanette and Rhonda for your input.

I have now added more names. Susan has sent us most of the names and she said "please feel free to correct her" if her memory has deceived  her on any.

MISS ANGELA GREENE'S CLASS, 1967

 

Donna CONSTANTINE Walsh has sent this lovely picture from 1967.  It is Miss Angela Greene's Grade 3 Class.  They all look so neat and smart in their green uniforms.

 

AREN'T THEY CUTE?

Donna was able to give us the names of some of the girls.  Donna said:

Oh Donna, that is so tragic about that little Debbie.  It must have been so very sad for all of you.

This photo, from Presentation Archives, was posted here before.  Thanks to some of you, particularly Joan Fogarty, we were able to identify some of the girls in the photo.  We are re posting this photo in the hope that someone will be able to give us a few  more names and perhaps even supply a bit of information about it.  For instance, it would be interesting to find out the year and the occasion.  If you can help in anyway, please contact us at mcallistersmith@gmail.com and  you will make us very happy.

These are the names we have so far.  Can you add more?   Do you know what the occasion was? 

"SMART IN THEIR UNIFORMS"

There isn't much information with this photograph.  All we have is that it was taken in the 1960s, and that it could be a class of Grade VI or Grade VII students looking "smart in their uniforms".    I think it is too small a group to be a whole class because in the 1960s classes consisted of at least 30 girls and very often up to 40 students.  However, it certainly is a smart looking group and if anyone can name any of the girls or tell us anything about the group, it would be enormously helpful.  You can email us at mcallistersmith@gmail.com or leave a comment in the comments section of this post.  So very many of you have been extremely helpful in the past and I am confident you will be just as helpful with this little puzzler!   So, I thank you all very much and I look forward to hearing from you.
