TOGETHER AGAIN

Another group of long-time friends recently met up to enjoy one another's company and reminisce about their school days at St Patrick's.  Again, I am grateful to Pat Hurley McDonald for the information & the photographs.   Keep the news and the pictures coming, ladies.  We all enjoy hearing where you are and what you are up to these days.

"Janet (McGrath) Crane was home for a visit & a few of us who started school together got together at Poppa's Pier 17 in Churchill Square. A great way to see former schoolmates & catch up on their lives.

It is really nice to see all of you again, even if it is just in pictures, and I hope we will hear lots more from all of you.  Current news and past memories are greatly appreciated.  Thanks again Pat for sharing this happpy meeting of friends.

MORE FIRST COMMUNICANTS

I am so pleased that people are sending their First Communion photographs.  The pictures are always so lovely & First Communion and Confirmation Days are such an important  part of our childhood memories.  For these beautiful pictures, I have to thank Cynthia Murphy Downey.  The pretty little girls are Cynthia  and her cousin, Marie Madden.

Cynthia has also sent us a photo of the Holy Cross First Communion Class of 1955.  Cynthia's husband, Ted Downey, is on the extreme left in the back row.  Have you ever seen a more angelic looking group of boys?

KIWANIS MUSIC FESTIVAL

A great big THANK YOU  to Cynthia & Ted Downey for this beautiful picture.    It is bound to bring back some happy memories for a lot of people.  Cynthia also supplied most of the names.  There are two names missing so if anyone can help us there, we would be very grateful.  Any idea what year this was, Cynthia?  

 

In the last post, Yvonne Dionne spoke of singing in the Kiwanis Music Festival.  Therefore I thought it was appropriate to post this picture today.  Again, thank you Cynthia & Ted.
